This college had been established in the year of 1960 with the name as Govt. degree college Sidhi. There after it was upgraded as a post graduate college by the department of higher education M.P. Bhopal.
Presently this college is well known as Sanjay Gandhi Smriti Government post graduate Autonomous college sidhi (M.P.).
This college is situated in the district head quarter Sidhi. The district Sidhi is located in the north eastern part of the state administratively the district Sidhi governed by division Rewa as well as by state head quarter Bhopal.
This college has been given an Autonomous status in the year of 1995 by university grant commission, affiliating university A.P.S.U. Rewa and dept. of higher education MP Bhopal.
This college has also been assessed and accredited by NAAC Bangalore in the Year 2010 and this is a matter of great proud for our college family and all other concerned that the college become one of the prestigious college of this region for imparting quality education with higher level of research activities .
Presently this college has got its new building where all the activities are being done in well-mannered way with sufficient space.
This college having a reservoir of learned faculty members who have been indulges in research activities all the time. Specially producing Ph.D. scholars, publishing various books and various research paper in reputed National and International journals.
College also publish annually cultural magazine “Siddhija” and research journal “Vicharika” three times in each academic year
